I am a Solicitor and have specialised in construction law – contract drafting, live project support and dispute resolution – since I qualified in 1984.

I am a well respected quantum expert and adjudicator with over 40 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.

I was a practising barrister before entering the world of adjudication.

I trained and qualified as a civil engineer working for contractors on projects in a variety of areas.

I am a chartered quantity surveyor and worked in main contracting delivering all types of civil engineering, remediation, and power generation projects onsite across Scotland.

My entire career has been spent in construction, working mainly on the contracting side of the industry.

I trained and worked as a quantity surveyor working for contractors, clients, and consultancies for 11 years.

I was and still practice as a Quantity Surveyor - I started my career in the mid 1980’s with a large multi-national.

I qualified as an architect and I am of course still an architect.

I was (and indeed still practice as) a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Chartered Arbitrator operating in engineering and construction in the UK and internationally.
